Fear

Its like trying to tell someone
about a pit at their feet.
They walk too fast to notice it's there.
On the other side,
The bate.
A seemingly harmless one eyed girl.
A temptress possibly.
Luring in another unsuspecting bystander.
What's more odd,
The girl warns him.
Over and over she desperately warns him
Of the pit.
But he's blind.
Her eye of desire and longing is all he sees.
She longs to love and to be loved.
Obviously.
So this would be ideal If not for the pit.
Staying and staring
harms them both.
So she gouges her eye and leaves.
